Our Story
Small shop that creates BIG projects
Based out of our home on Long Island, NY, Hampton Industrial Design creates handmade, custom and unique items for your home using simple repurposed wood and industrial pipe.
We started just a few short years ago making industrial themed items for family and friends. That led to opening up a shop on Etsy, and now - our own online store!
Unlike the big box stores, each one of our pieces is made-to-order. You give us an idea of what you want and we’ll go the extra mile to make your vision a reality.
We are direct sales: artist to consumer, and we pride ourselves on our workmanship. Whether it’s a simple single shelf or an elaborate full-wall storage piece, we put the utmost care and effort into everything that we make. And we’re even more passionate about the results. We don’t want you to just be happy with your product - we want you to be in love with it! This is our goal, as there is nothing more satisfying than seeing our happy customers proudly post their purchases on social media while exclaiming how thrilled they are with our work.
Our company is family-owned and family-run. We develop our projects one at a time with our own hands, our own sweat and our own bruised knuckles. Unlike an overseas factory, we’re a small company with a tremendous heart and work ethic, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Custom Projects
We enjoy the challenge of custom design projects and exploring new ideas with you!
Custom orders may take a bit longer to produce depending on how long it takes to finalize a design, but rest assured that we will be with you every step of the way!
We can provide computer-generated scale drawings (CAD drawings) throughout the process of designing your custom piece together.

Order Processing and Shipping
When initially ordering, we ask customers to allow approximately 1-2 weeks from the time the order is placed for fabrication, priming, painting, staining, cursing, starting over, blaming someone else, re-sanding, re-staining and the finishing process.
Each piece will be professionally packed at our local UPS Store and then shipped to you fully assembled! Once they forward the tracking info to us, we will upload it to your order.
All items will be shipped fully assembled unless otherwise noted in the product description.
To cut down on the high cost of shipping, we can also send our items unassembled with detailed assembly instructions. Please contact us for further information.
Shipping charges are automatically calculated at time of check out. Please note that all shipping calculations come directly from the shipping/freight company. Hampton Industrial DOES NOT profit whatsoever on shipping charges - receipts, etc. can and will be provided upon request.
